Founding & Senior Pastor 

Pastor David LeRoy Childers is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California. Since 1985, David and his wife Madeline have served in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the Founding and Lead Pastors of Peace Way Christian Center.

The church is a neighborhood community church. A place where everyone knows each other and the pastor knows your name.

Pastor David also served as Southern Nevada Sectional Presbyter for 9 years and then Executive Presbyter for the State of Nevada for the Assemblies of God for 11 years!

He enjoys pastoring and mentoring other pastors!

He has overseen the construction of the church's three building projects. The neighborhood campus covers 2.3 acres with 150 parking spaces and almost 18,000 sq. ft. of building.

In addition to pastoring, Pastor David teaches forgiveness and has written a book entitled “Forgiveness……It Is Not Optional!”

10,000 books have been distributed in several languages: English, Spanish, Bulgarian, Türkiye, Chichewa (Malawi), Armenian, and French.

He has studied the subject of “Forgiveness” for over 50 years and has presented the biblical forgiveness seminar in many nations. He and his wife Madeline have been happily married since 1981 and have two wonderful children and two beautiful granddaughters.

Christian Apologetics and Theological Bible Study Leader, Professor of Theology, Apologetics, & Instructional Leadership 

Dr. Thinh Nguyen was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and grew up in the United States. He became a Christian and received baptism in 2004. He and his wife, Cristina, raise three children: Tyler, Faith, and Hope.

Drawing on his personal background, Dr. Nguyen earned three doctoral degrees (Ed.D., Ph.D., Th.D.) and holds four master's degrees (MTS, Th.M., M.A.BTS, M.S. TESOL), as well as B.A. and A.A. degrees from universities, Bible colleges, and seminaries in the United States. While he currently pursues a doctorate in Biblical Naturopathic Studies, he is also a professor at the University of Arizona, where he teaches online graduate courses in the Department of Education.

Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, he enjoys personal growth activities and playing musical instruments in his free time.

Children’s Church Sunday Morning Service, and Youth Director 

Marisa serves as the Worship Leader, Youth Director, and Sunday Morning Children's Church Teacher at Peace Way Christian Center. She has served in ministry for over 10 years and graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California in 2020, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics.

During her time at Vanguard, Marisa served in the Student Government Association, the Spiritual Formation Department, and the Performing Arts Ministry Team. After graduating, she returned to her hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada, where she continues to invest in local churches and the next generation.

 Marisa is passionate about helping students engage with Scripture with clarity and conviction. She is committed to building meaningful relationships, empowering young people to grow in their faith and purpose, and fostering a community rooted in and branching out from the Vine - Jesus.

 Church Administrator  

I am Pastor David’s daughter, so I have been serving at Peace Way Christian Center (PWCC) on and off my whole life. I have served in Children’s Ministry, on the Worship Team, and in Preaching from time to time; served as Project Manager for church renovations and cleaning. I currently serve behind the scenes as one of the Church Administrators.

PWCC is my literal home; it will always be my home. I am happy to serve wherever I can to help the church operate smoothly and efficiently. The body of Christ can function only when it works as a team. I enjoy helping that team operate at its fullest potential. Although if I had to pick, I would probably say preaching is my favorite way to serve.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, but currently live in Kentucky. I am married to a wonderful man, and we have a delightful daughter who brings so much joy to our lives. She is quite literally our favorite aspect of life (besides Jesus). We also have two dogs – a Pitbull named Chicken Nugget and a Belgian Malinois named Mocha. My favorite coffee shop is Phin Smith. I am obsessed with all their drinks and would go there every day of my life if I had the budget.

One of my favorite Scripture verses is Isaiah 43:18-20

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.”

Administrative Assistant  

 My name is Joyce Lopez, and I have been with Peace Way Christian Center for about four years now! I recently graduated from UNLV with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, and I hope to start my teaching career soon. 

If you see me at church, chances are I’m running around handling different things, but feel free to say hi! I am more than happy to help with anything and everything. God Bless!  

Breakfast Bar Coordinator

I grew up in Oahu, Hawaii, but moved to Las Vegas in 2014 to be near my grandsons.

I retired from the insurance business after many years. I enjoy driving my grandsons around, having lunch with the church ladies, and relaxing with Chunk, my bulldog, while we watch TV and snack together.

God led me to Peace Way Christian Center, and I am grateful. He knew where I was needed and helped me grow spiritually. God is great! The congregation welcomed me warmly.

My name is Lisa Saucedo-Rodriguez. I am originally from Nebraska and moved to Las Vegas in 1996 to continue my career as a teacher. I recently retired after 44 years as a public-school teacher. I thank God for watching over and blessing me during those 44 years of my career.

I have called Peace Way Christian Center (PWCC) home since 2000 and have had the privilege of serving on the church board for over 20 years. It is a role and set of responsibilities that I take seriously and have been greatly blessed to accept.

I love music and have served on our worship team for over 25 years. The act of worship is "giving God the glory due unto His name.” Worship draws believers into deeper communion with God, resulting in spiritual renewal, strength, and inner refreshment. It is an act of supreme allegiance, gratitude, and surrender that has actively transformed my life. I thank PWCC for allowing me the freedom to fulfill my purpose.

I have one daughter, Marisa, who was raised in this church and is now a faithful servant, leading worship, serving in the Children’s ministry, and serving as the Youth Director.

PWCC is a small neighborhood church that is reaching the world. Each person is valued and seen as family.

I have been serving at Peace Way Christian Center since 2019. I am the church board secretary. I came from Illinois with my family. I am a registered nurse by profession.

 About Me

I have been at Peace Way Christian Center for 15 years. My children have grown up in this church, and I am very grateful for that experience. I am the church board treasurer and have served in that capacity for about four years. I am fluent in Spanish/English and like to hike in my free time. If you see me at church, please say hello!

My Heart for Ministry

My heart is serving in any capacity, whether that’s cleaning, decorating for an event, or cooking for the Sunday service Pop-up dinners. I love serving my church family and making newcomers feel welcome!

Hi, my name is Aileen Paule, and I have been coming to this church since July 2021. My family moved here from California with my son and daughter. I graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in 2023, prior to becoming a certified Pharmacy technician. 

I love to sing and cook. I have been to missions and am now serving as a staff member at Vision School.
