Christian Apologetics and Theological Bible Study Leader, Professor of Theology, Apologetics, & Instructional Leadership 

Dr. Thinh Nguyen was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and grew up in the United States. He became a Christian and received baptism in 2004. He and his wife, Cristina, raise three children: Tyler, Faith, and Hope.

Drawing on his personal background, Dr. Nguyen earned three doctoral degrees (Ed.D., Ph.D., Th.D.) and holds four master's degrees (MTS, Th.M., M.A.BTS, M.S.TESOL), as well as B.A. and A.A. degrees from universities, Bible colleges, and seminaries in the United States. While he currently pursues a doctorate in Biblical Naturopathic Studies, he is also a professor at Arizona University, where he teaches online graduate courses in the Department of Education.

Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, he enjoys personal growth activities and playing musical instruments in his free time.

Afternoon Service A/V Tech 

Hey! My name is Tyler Nguyen, and I happily help out with the sound and audio systems in the sound booth each Sunday afternoon. It is my pleasure to serve the Lord in this church! In my educational background, I received a Certificate in Christian Apologetics from Biola University in 2025, and I am currently pursuing an associate’s degree in general studies at Newlane University, with the eventual goal of earning a bachelor’s degree. In my personal life, I enjoy listening to music, laughing at memes, and discussing pretty much anything, from human history to astrophysics. Although I may be behind a sound booth most of the time, feel free to stop by and say hi whenever possible!

 My name is Joyce Lopez, and I have been with Peace Way Christian Center for about four years now! I recently graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, and I hope to start my teaching career soon. If you see me at church, chances are I’m running around handling different things, but feel free to say hi! I am more than happy to help with anything and everything. God Bless!  

Breakfast Bar Coordinator

I grew up in Oahu, Hawaii, but moved to Las Vegas in 2014 to be near my grandsons.

I retired from the insurance business after many years. I enjoy driving my grandsons around, having lunch with the church ladies, and relaxing with Chunk, my bulldog, while we watch TV and snack together.

God led me to Peace Way Christian Center, and I am grateful. He knew where I was needed and helped me grow spiritually. God is great! The congregation welcomed me warmly.
